Disney Lorcana: Wilds Unknown — What's Coming in Set 12

Pixar characters are finally here! Disney Lorcana's twelfth set, Wilds Unknown, brings Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Merida, and the Parr family (from The Incredibles) into the game for the first time. Ravensburger worked directly with Pixar Animation Studios on the designs, and we've got some magical new art that's ready to make a statement. The set lands at local game stores first on May 8 for prerelease events, with the full global release following on May 15. After that date, you'll find it everywhere Lorcana is sold: GameStop, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, DisneyStore.com, and TCGPlayer.

Wilds Unknown contains 242 cards in total. The base set is 204 cards, each available in standard and foil versions. Above the base set sits 18 Epic cards, 18 Enchanted cards, and 2 of the very elusive (but VERY shiny) Iconic cards, Buzz Lightyear - Jungle Ranger and Merida - Formidable Archer. The rarity tiers stay the same as they have been since the release of Fabled: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, Legendary, Epic, Enchanted, and Iconic.

The two Iconic cards for Wilds Unknown are Buzz Lightyear, Jungle Ranger and Merida, Formidable Archer, with a pull rate estimated at higher than one in 1,500 packs. Beyond those two, the 18 Enchanted cards feature a brand-new art direction called "Lore Nouveau," an Art Nouveau-inspired style built around the theme of venturing into uncharted territory. These are the borderless full-art pulls that are centerpieces for a binder or wall display. Rounding out the chase list are six Traveler Promo cards available only in Pre-Release Boxes, one random promo card per box. It looks like a complete set of all six Traveler promo cards requires trading or buying singles.

Several promo cards also release during this set's cycle. The Magical Places Promo (Buzz Lightyear, On the Way) is available exclusively at Disney Parks worldwide. The Buy-A-Box Promo (Dash Parr) goes to anyone purchasing a booster box at a participating store. Weekly Play Promos including Lenny, Zipper, and Will o' the Wisp are earned at local game store events. The Set Championship Promo (Woody, Jungle Guide) is guaranteed to any player who enters a Set Championship event, with a premium version reserved for top-8 finishers.
